Council Committees
PLANNING COMMITTEE
Role : The Planning Committee shall undertake the following roles and functions:
a) Delegated power to consider planning applications referred to the Parish Council by Horsham District Council or West Sussex County Council and to respond on behalf of the Parish Council to the authority that made the reference.
b) To consider such other matters relating to Town and Country Planning that may be either referred or delegated to the Planning Committee by the Council.
c) Unless the Planning Committee is acting under delegated authority, it shall not take any action other than to report back to the Council unless specifically authorised by the Council to act otherwise.

OPEN SPACES COMMITTEE
Role : The Open Spaces Committee shall undertake the following roles and functions:
a) To monitor the work undertaken by the litter wardens and make any recommendations to the Council.
b) To report to the Council on the recommended basis for the annual grass-cutting contract and monitor and report on the work undertaken thereafter.
c) To regularly inspect the playgrounds and bus shelters and make any recommendations to the Council.
d) To review the monthly inspection of play equipment report from Horsham District Council and the annual RoSPA play area safety inspection report and make any recommendations to Council.
e) Delegated power to incur expenditure on playground repairs up to £200.00
